On December 27, 2023, a bus accident occurred in the Guna district of Madhya Pradesh, India. A private bus collided head-on with a dumper on the Guna-Aaron road, killing 13 people and injuring 15. 

The bus was carrying passengers from Guna to Aaron, a nearby town. The accident occurred at around 11:30 p.m. local time. The bus driver and 12 passengers were killed in the crash. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital, where they are being treated for their injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. However, police suspect that the bus driver may have been speeding. The dumper driver was also injured in the crash. He is being questioned by police.

The accident has caused widespread shock and grief in Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, sent his condolences over the tragedy and promised monetary compensation of 4 lakh rupees for the families of the victims and 50,000 rupees for the wounded. He also requested a thorough investigation of the accident.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.

The accident is a reminder of the importance of road safety. It is also a reminder of the need for better infrastructure and enforcement of traffic laws. The government of Madhya Pradesh has pledged to take steps to improve road safety in the state.”
